“Love is in the air” at Pluxee. As we gathered testimonials from the epicureans on our team, we realized that many of our colleagues were actually... hopeless romantics! With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we haven't forgotten about new parents, for whom getting away from home isn't always an option: there's a little bonus for them at the end of the article.
So, which great place on the Pluxee Lunch network will you choose?
1. Les Roses and its chef of the year (Gault & Millau 2025)
This is the perfect place to combine an exceptional culinary experience with a romantic getaway. François Jagut, chef at Les Roses, located at Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains, has been honored by the Gault & Millau culinary guide for the boldness and constant evolution of his cuisine. It is our colleague Mélissa's favorite restaurant, and she emphasizes its excellent value for money: “The food is excellent and the waiting staff are very attentive.”
2. Podenco Bodega, voted Mediterranean restaurant of the year (Gault & Millau 2025)
Podenco Bodega, located in Bertrange, promises authentic, generous, and sophisticated cuisine. Voted “Restaurant of the Year 2025” by Gault & Millau, this Spanish restaurant combines a friendly atmosphere with refined cuisine. For Laurie, it's the perfect place for a romantic dinner for two, but also for a meal with friends or colleagues: “The service is perfect, and the staff always give good advice. On top of that, the atmosphere is chic without being stuffy, and the decor is tasteful. It's the perfect place to raise a glass, share a meal and enjoy yourself!”
3. Le Bistronome: seasonal products at their finest
A must-visit address in Strassen for those who appreciate seasonal cuisine. The menu at Le Bistronome changes with the seasons, offering classic and revisited dishes, always in a gourmet style, and at a relatively reasonable price, according to Hamid: “The atmosphere is perfect for lovers. Special mention for the dame blanche dessert, their hot chocolate sauce is a treat!” The icing on the cake – or rather on the ice cream – is that from February 10 to 14, you can enjoy a special Valentine's Day menu, available by reservation.
4. Max + Moritz and its cozy atmosphere
With its wood and leather décor, Max + Moritz restaurant in the Belair neighborhood has a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it a sure bet for a romantic evening. For Elise, this restaurant is perfect for an evening for two. She shares her experience with us: “When it comes to food, there's something for everyone, especially meat lovers: a delicious T-bone steak, a more traditional beef Wellington, or an ultra-comforting truffle burger.” That's enough to make our mouths water!
5. Parc Le'h, a sure bet with or without a Valentine
Whether you're coming for a romantic Valentine's Day or a girls' night out, Parc Le'h in Dudelange is a sure bet. At least, that's the opinion of our colleague Juliette. She highlights the “attentive service and delicious dishes, worthy of a semi-gourmet restaurant.” For her, “the €44 menu (starter-main course-dessert, excluding Valentine's Day) allows you to treat yourself at an affordable price, all in a cozy and elegant atmosphere.”
6. The Elch Club Restaurant: a romantic interlude by the fireside
With its open fire in winter and mountain chalet atmosphere, the Elch Club Restaurant in Bertrange welcomes you into its cozy world, sheltered from the hustle and bustle outside: an unmissable destination for the perfect romantic evening. “I really enjoyed this restaurant in winter. The atmosphere is warm and exotic. The food is excellent, and the wine selection is very comprehensive. A great place that I would definitely recommend,” says Nathalie.
7. Aldo Bei et Fils, the top alternative if you're stuck at home
When you're a parent, going out to a restaurant isn't always an option on Valentine's Day. Our colleague Aurore shares her tip for enjoying a romantic moment, even when you have young children: “A beautiful meal tray with fine charcuterie and Italian cheeses from Aldo Bei (Schifflange) is the perfect alternative for a cozy evening at home,” she tells us.
